The HUGO ONE uses D2 steel, which was considered by knife-making legend Jimmy Lile, among others, to be the optimal steel for all areas of application. This can be resharpened using simple means and offers an optimal price-performance ratio. In addition, the stonewash finish of the HUGO ONE contributes to increased resistance to scratches and signs of wear, which in turn would be immediately noticeable on polished blades.

The knife is characterized by a sturdy, 102 mm long blade with long edge retention and good sharpness properties. The handle has a non-slip surface that provides a good grip. For safe transport, the knife is supplied with a robust Kydex holster with a belt clip, which means it can be carried comfortably and safely on the belt. When in use, the structured support on the back of the blade gives the thumb a secure hold, which improves control over the blade. This is particularly important for precise cutting work where a non-slip position of the thumb is required. This combination of high-quality materials and well-thought-out design makes the knife a reliable tool for a wide range of applications.

For the development of the Schmeisser knives, Schmeisser GmbH entered into a cooperation with Pohl Force GmbH, which specializes in the professional use and functional safety and reliability of high-quality knives. The knives are manufactured in Germany, Taiwan and Italy according to the high quality standards of POHL FORCE.
